Three-Cheese Baked Ziti with Spinach
If you want more cheese in your baked ziti, this Three-Cheese Baked Ziti with Spinach recipe is for you. This ziti even has ricotta, Romano and Parmesan cheeses simmered in the sauce!
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Cook the ziti according to the package directions in a 6-quart saucepot. Add the spinach during the last minute of the cooking time. Drain the ziti and spinach well in a colander. Return them to the saucepot.
- Stir the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup (125 mL) Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and the garlic powder in a bowl. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- Add the sauce and 1 cup (250 mL) mozzarella cheese to the ziti mixture and stir to coat. Spoon into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Drop the ricotta mixture by spoonsfuls on top. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup (125 mL) mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and the cheese is melted.
